About Me

I'm Merima Besic-Krueger – artist, mother, and a passionate painter for as long as I can remember.

Even as a child, I never put the brush down. Later, that love of painting grew into a true craft: for many years I had the privilege of training with Katharina Meister, a master painter in Oberhausen. Today I have been painting for more than 20 years – and it still feels like the very first day.

After a long time in Germany, I now live with my family in Eindhoven. I speak Dutch, German, English, and Bosnian fluently – and perhaps it is exactly this mix of worlds that you can feel in my paintings.

My acrylic paintings are a mirror of my life: impressions from many journeys, emotions, thoughts – everything finds its way onto the canvas. I paint to make feelings visible and to fill rooms with warmth and energy.
